Are you a detail-minded, results-driven consultant ready to play a critical role in delivering production accounting solutions to oil and gas clients? As a Production System Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment of production accounting solutions. This role works closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to ensure production data, business processes, and system functionality are accurately configured and aligned with operational requirements. The consultant facilitates data migration activities, validates system performance, and supports user adoption throughout the implementation lifecycle. Understanding the unique operations workflows of exploration, drilling, production, and other functional areas in the oil and gas industry, you can translate those needs into scalable digital solutions. Key Responsibilities
Consulting & Business Analysis
- Gather and document business requirements related to production accounting processes, reporting, and regulatory needs
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend technical solutions that align with client needs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in project planning activities, including scope definition, timeline creation, and risk assessment
- Provide implementation status updates, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed to project leadership
Data Analysis & System Configuration
- Analyze source system data and develop data mapping specifications for production volumes, allocations, sales, inventories, ownership, and related production accounting data
- Support data conversion and migration activities, including data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
- Configure production accounting system functionality, workflows, business rules, and master data in accordance with client requirements and industry best practices
- Collaborate with technical teams to support integrations between production accounting systems and upstream and downstream applications
- Validate system outputs, reports, calculations, and business processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements
Testing, Documentation & Training
- Develop and execute test strategies, test scripts, and test scenarios for system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Document testing results, track defects, and coordinate resolution activities with project teams
- Support end-user training, knowledge transfer, and deployment readiness activities
- Assist with cutover planning, go-live support, and post-implementation stabilization efforts
- Create and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and integration mappings, to support system users and administrators
Key Deliverables

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant work experience
- Experience with production accounting processes within the oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of production volumes, allocations, sales, ownership, revenue, and regulatory reporting concepts
- Experience with data mapping, data conversion, and data validation activities
- Experience configuring enterprise software applications and supporting system implementations.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including SIT, UAT, and defect management
- Familiarity with oil and gas systems including ProdView and/or ProCount
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to travel to client sites on an as-needed basis; preference given to candidates in Oklahoma City, OK
