This position will be primarily on site in Houston with travel to client sites outside of Houston up to 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

 

Business Analysis & Consulting

  • Provide technical consultation for data and systems integration projects.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals.
  • Define and document technical specifications, data mapping rules, and conversion logic for cross-platform implementations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and SMEs to define precise data mapping and transformation specifications.
  • Partner with project managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to align on requirements and progress.

Data Profiling, Migration & Validation

  • Conduct detailed profiling of legacy master data using targeted data quality rules, scoring each asset to determine readiness for conversion and implementation.
  • Identify and investigate data and structure discrepancies; perform root cause analysis and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Execute high-level data conversion activities, ensuring clean transformation and alignment with target platforms.
  • Develop and run validation scripts to test integrity throughout the migration cycle; log outcomes and prepare visual reports.
  • Conduct data readiness assessments and recommend data cleansing strategies for pre-migration.
  • Report on key metrics including data quality scores, migration progress, and risk assessments; generate dashboards or visual summaries as needed.

 Integration & System Support

  • Support interface strategies and integrations between legacy platforms and target systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation including methodologies, technical guides, decision logic, and user-facing deliverables.

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data migration, or systems integration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python).
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems (CYGNET and Ignition)
  • Experience with AUTOSOL,FLOWCAL or Historian solutions is preferred.
  • Understanding of system design, configuration, and testing principles.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling techniques and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel at least 25-35% for contract; up to 50% for contractors who transition to W2
