As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' strategic goals by transforming raw data into meaningful insights. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop intuitive dashboards, and deliver compelling data stories that influence decision-making. Understanding the unique operations workflows of exploration, drilling, production, and other functional areas in the oil and gas industry – you can translate those needs into scalable digital solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean and analyze structured data from multiple sources to support business decisions
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and trend analyses using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Create automated reporting solutions to track KPIs and business performance
  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analytics to uncover patterns, trends and anomalies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical requirements
  • Define and refine metrics and KPIs in partnership with business users
  • Validate and interpret results to ensure accuracy, clarity, and business relevance
  • Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reports to measure performance and outcomes
  • Focus on data storytelling – presenting insights in a clear, engaging, and actionable way

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in a data analyst or similar role
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong Excel and data visualization skills
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate insights to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is preferred
  • Familiarity with upstream systems and concepts is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working multiple projects (splitting time) while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to travel to client sites on an as-needed basis
