Key Responsibilities
Cloud Migration & Strategy
- Plan, execute, and validate cloud migrations across a wide range of operational environments
- Assess client on-premises environments and develop cloud-readiness roadmaps tailored to their business and operational requirements
- Evaluate workload suitability for public, private, hybrid, or multi-cloud deployment
- Identify and recommend cloud cost optimization strategies to help clients manage and govern spend effectively
Architecture & Infrastructure Design
- Design scalable, resilient IT architectures aligned to client business objectives
- Define reference architectures for IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid connectivity patterns
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards throughout the design lifecycle
- Advise clients on cloud security
Networking Planning & Architecture
- Design and document network topologies for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments aligned to client performance and security requirements
- Plan and implement VPN, ExpressRoute, and SD-WAN connectivity solutions to support distributed operations including remote field sites
- Define IP addressing schemes, subnet strategies, and routing policies that support scalable growth and multi-site integration
- Evaluate and recommend firewall, network segmentation, and zero-trust architectures to protect critical infrastructure and operational technology environments
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Serve as the senior technical resource and primary escalation point for client infrastructure issues and cloud related challenges
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables
- Manage multiple concurrent client engagements, balancing priorities and meeting project deadlines
- Create and maintain clear documentation including solution designs, integration mappings, and user-facing guides to support adoption and knowledge transfer
- Train client end-users and stakeholders on new cloud solutions, ensuring a smooth transition and long-term adoption
System Administration & Operations
- Administer Windows and Linux server environments in both cloud and on-premises environments
- Maintain system health through proactive monitoring, patching, and capacity planning
- Diagnose and resolve incidents across VMs, virtual networks, DNS, Active Directory, and storage services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud environments; exposure to AWS is a plus
- Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-grade, scalable and highly available infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem
- Experience managing Windows Server and Linux environments
- Strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals including VPNs, ExpressRoute, DNS, firewalls and hybrid connectivity
- Familiarity with oil and gas operational environments – including SCADA systems, field data workflows – is strongly preferred
- Experience in client-facing or consulting role, with a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver across multiple engagements simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work remotely and travel to client sites when needed
