In 2002, when the Director IT position became vacant, EastLink decided to take some time to assess its IT management needs and structure rather than proceeding to fill the vacant position immediately. EastLink engaged the Novus Consulting Group to provide the interim IT management function until a new IT Director was recruited. Over the subsequent two year period, in addition to provided day-to-day management of EastLink's IT staff, our Novus team completed many projects including a review of all existing systems, conducting an operational review, scanning the market for prospective integrated systems solutions, facilitating application review processes, implementing recommendations from the operational review, planning and implementing function-specific systems solutions, infrastructure planning and upgrading and implementing enhanced IT management methodologies.
