Our client, a large Nova Scotia-based manufacturer, had a need for a senior, experienced MIS manager to provide strategic and technical leadership to divisional general managers and internal information technology staff. Rather than recruit and employ a full time Director of MIS, the company executive decided to engage us on a part time contractual basis. Our mandate was to work with the divisional staff to develop divisional and corporate systems plans and, at the same time, assess the capability of the internal resources to carry the ongoing IT responsibilities. This mandate was completed. A full time MIS manager is now in place.
