The Nova Scotia regional school boards are autonomous units with the responsibility of delivering K-12 education within their respective regions. The key challenges for the Nova Scotia government and these school boards were to define a common set of requirements and obtain agreement on a common integrated solution while respecting the autonomy of the school boards.
The School Boards and the Nova Scotia Department of Education selected Novus to lead the process of defining requirements, selecting solutions and negotiating contracts for the procurement of a common, integrated data management system (ERP) for the Province of Nova Scotia.
We completed the selection and prepared a business case. The Nova Scotia government approved the business case. The school boards' team has successfully implemented the Finance sub-system and is continuing the project with the implement the Human Resource sub-system.
