The Halifax Regional Water Commission (HRWC) engaged Novus to guide the Commission through an IT strategic planning process as part of a program to become a world-class water utility. The project entailed determining needs and opportunities through extensive consultation with management and staff and best practices research, a visioning and priority setting process. The resultant comprehensive multi-phased IT strategy has been the foundation and guide for important systems acquisitions and enhancements.
As a follow-up to an IT Strategic Plan Development project, the HRWC engaged Novus to facilitate the procurement of a new human resource and payroll information system. We helped HRWC staff develop functional specifications and RFI documents and go through a process of soliciting and evaluation proposals. The Commission chose to implement the SAP human resource system building on the base and experience of another public sector organization.
