This engagement was part of a process to bring together all potential stakeholders with an interest in making Halifax and Nova Scotia a leading major events hosting destination. The initial meeting grew out of a recognition that we had a window of opportunity to leverage our reputation into a broader based major events hosting strategy and that successful event bidding is based on belief in ourselves and confidence in our abilities.

The final report took the form of a Community Investment Prospectus, a document that defined the opportunity and then detailed the investment needed to move the initiative forward.
